This was a book I got from Voracious Readers in exchange for an honest review.
Dana Canfield had no idea her husband would die and leave her a widow. Deciding she needs a fresh start, she relocates to Providence Island of the coast of Virginia. As an Interior designer, she gets her first job, renovating Main Street. As soon as she arrives she has a close call when someone tries to run over her. Not too long after, there is a break in at her house. She has no idea that secrets in her past could get her killed.
Nick Varden, a mechanic who catches Dana's eye, saves her life and they soon start a relationship but he realizes that all the incidents that happen to Dana are connected to the death of her husband. Can NIck keep Dana safe or will they both be destroyed?
Main Street by Dianna Wilkes is the first installment of Providence Island Series and it starts with a bang. From the very first page, it grabbed my attention. The book has everything you could want in a Romantic Suspense story. I fell in love with Nick and Dana and I have to admit that even though it started out slow, the more I got into the story, the more I wanted to read. The ending was not what I expected. It keeps you guessing right up until the last page.
